Victoria British Columbia Parliament. At the age of 25, architect Francis Rattenbury won the design competition for these Parliament Buildings. Construction began on June 7, 1893 and the building was completed in late 1897. Between 1912 and 1915, Rattenbury designed additions, the main one being the South wing to accomodate the Provincial Library. Some of Victoria 's gorgeous hanging baskets. The Empress Hotel, also designed by Francis Rattenbury. |
