Loch Lomond
 |
One
of the small villages that dot the western shore of Loch Lomond, Luss is a regular stop
for boat tours of the lake. Loch Lomond, 38 kilometres (24 miles) long, is the largest of
the Scottish inland lochs, and its glacially excavated floor reaches depths of 199 metres
(about 630 feet). Within easy reach of both Glasgow and Edinburgh, the loch is a popular
day-trip destination for urban residents in Scotlands central belt.
