This cabin is a replica of the log home in which President Lincoln's grandmother lived and raised her three sons and two children.
The cabin is furnished in pioneer style : several pieces of furnitures made by Thomas Lincoln, the President's father, are preserved here : the bed, for instance, is thought to have been made by Thomas.
This large two-story log house of Francis Berry is original and was moved to the park from the Beechland section, about one mile away. This house is closely associated with the Lincoln family, as their niece Nancy who was living with them was courted by Thomas Lincoln.
Thomas is said to have proposed Nancy in front of this fireplace.
This home is furnished with pioneer relics of the Lincoln area.
