The only coffee industry in the nation thrives in the cool uplands of Kona. Royal Kona is the pick of a small crop grown only on the lush western slopes of the volcnoes Mauna Loa and Hualakai on the Big Island of Hawai'i.
The "cherries" ripen unevenly and must be picked only when they are red and full flavored. It takes 5.5 pounds of cherries to make one pound of green coffee.
It is the only coffee grown in the US, and it is really delicious, you can believe us !

First brought to Hawai'i in 1882, the macadamia nuts are native to the rain forest along the coasts of Australia. They were named in honor of John Macadam, a young Scots immigrant.
Macadamia nuts in Hawai'i grow best between 700 and 800 feet. They need a subtropical climate (frost-free), 60 inches rain annually minimum and no more than 90°F. The Big Island of Hawai'i produces more than 90% of the macadamia nuts grown worldwide.
